cRunner Support
Help with iPhone, Apple Watch, GPS, and Apple Health
Apple Watch
Install cRunner from the Watch app on the paired iPhone. The Watch can record without an iPhone or internet. If installation fails, restart both devices, confirm Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, update iOS/watchOS, remove an incomplete installation, and try again. Developer Mode is needed only for locally signed builds installed from Xcode, not for App Store or TestFlight builds.
Location accuracy
Allow location while using cRunner, keep Precise Location enabled, and open workout setup outdoors with a clear view of the sky. Wait for Good or Excellent GPS when possible, then start. Active recordings can continue while the screen is locked.
Apple Health
Enable workout access in cRunner Settings. You can save completed workouts manually or automatically. With read permission, cRunner can also find compatible cRunner workouts synchronized by Apple Health. If access was denied, update cRunner permissions in the Health app.
Syncing between iPhones
Use the same Apple Account on both iPhones, enable Apple Health synchronization, and grant cRunner Health access on each phone. Apple controls synchronization timing, so a workout may take time to appear and can have fewer cRunner-specific details than the original. cRunner does not import unrelated Health workouts.
Language, units, countdown, and spoken cues can sync separately through your private iCloud account. Auto-pause, goals, and automatic Health saving remain specific to each iPhone. cRunner never places workouts, routes, heart rate, or other health and fitness measurements in its iCloud storage. Recording always works offline.
Backup and transfer
On-device backups remain on the iPhone and are excluded from cloud backup. Use a portable archive to move full local workout details manually; portable archives omit heart-rate samples.
