Just you and your instrument.

cTuner analyzes pitch on your device. Instrument audio is never saved or uploaded.

Effective date: October 11, 2026. Developer: Sipke Lautenbach, trading as CpoApps.

Microphone and external audio

cTuner requests microphone permission when you start listening. Samples from the microphone or selected compatible input are held temporarily in memory to estimate pitch and volume, then discarded. The app does not record files, send audio to a server or share audio with anyone. Listening stops when you pause, background the app, or it becomes inactive outside a pending microphone permission request. Revoke permission in your device’s Settings.

Local preferences

Your selected tuning, custom tunings, appearance, reference pitch, tolerance, haptic and screen-wake settings are stored in the app’s private local preferences. The app does not transmit them. iOS may include app data in device backups according to your system settings.

Data collection and Apple services

CpoApps does not collect personal information from cTuner. The app requires no sign-in and has no ads, tracking, analytics or third-party SDKs. It uses no developer-operated servers. Apple handles App Store purchases, downloads, optional diagnostics and device backups under its own policies and your settings. See Apple’s privacy policy.

Support messages

If you contact cpoapps@gmail.com, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address and issue details, so we can respond. Please send only what is needed. Support email is separate from the app’s local audio processing. You can ask us to delete your support correspondence, subject to any required recordkeeping.
